Problems and difficulties confronting tho farmers as a result of the change from standard to war time were detailed by George Durland, who said that the farmers were united In asking the support of the organization in a movement to put the territory back on Pacific time.

Mr. Durland said that the government was asking the farmer to produce more but was making it difficult for him to do so. He pointed out that with farm machinery scarce or unavailable and with the labor situation, already acute because of the number of men called to service, further complicated by the tiuio change, the farmer was in a predic- anient. He declared that the Humeri could not do things by the clock, that the sun hud to be given time to do the things nature intended it do on the farm and that the chuutiiiu' of the clocks put everything oil Klivdulc on the farm. In connection with this, Clarence Popliaiii told of the difficulty he bad with a hind h.ui'l.
