Trails Inn Being Sold To California Couple Completion is expected this week of the sale of the Trails Inn Motel and Cafe on South First Street to Mr. and Mrs. Jay Wheeler of Los Angeles. The owners for the past two years of the fourunit motel has been Mr. and Mrs.

James Williams who are returning to Billings. Johnson and Foss Realty is handling the negotiations. The same firm recently sold the home of Carl Saunders on South Seventh Street to Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Stahl of Grantsdale.

Also changing hands was the home of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Jesson, 700 South Second when it sold to Mr. and Mrs. Claude Blodgett.

SUNRISE 4-H CAMP- Stevensville Twelve members answered roll call when the Sunrise 4-H Club met at the home of Jeanette and Rodney McIntyre. Danny Haacke presided at business and Mrs. Gladys Musgrove, home demonstration agent for Ravalli County, instructed club members on demonstration procedure. Demonstrations were given by Laurie McFadgen and Haacke and plans made for a July 14 dance. Monday morning in a head-on will be held in Idaho Falls, services will be held for the the Woods Funeral Home. Mrs. Nickerson was enroute to Stevensville from daughter's home in Idaho Falls when she collided with a semi-trailer truck. In the investigation conducted by Sheriff Lloyd Raymond, the car went off the roadway for about 300 feet, then cut back onto the road suddenly and went into the, opposite lane meeting the truck. It seemed evident to the sheriff that the truck driver did everything he could to keep from hitting the car.

truck was driven by Roscoe McMullin, Idaho Falls, who was not seriously hurt. A relief driver was asleep at the time and received some facial cuts but neither were hospitalized. Pinned inside the car. Mrs. Nickerson was examined by a physician who happened to be passing at the time.

He pronounced her dead. Her late model car was demolished. It was brought to Hamilton by the Mellott Motor tow truck. Mrs. Nickerson is survived by her daughter, Mrs.

Maxine Summers, Idaho Falls: four sons, Ronaid and Seth. Stevensville; Sterling. Great Falls, and Marvin, Idaho Falls. Her husband and another son were killed two years ago in an accident east of Stevensville when a car in- -which they were riding hit a bridge. She was born in Utah on Jan.

Woman LXVIII, No. 134 The 93 Drive In Cafe has been sold to Mrs. Henry Burnet of Los Angeles, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ballweber.

It was opened nine years ago on Aug. 20 by the Ballwebers and Elmo Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds share was purchased in June 1948 and the Ballwebers have operated the establishment since. They plan to do some building, probably homes, in the future, we catch up on some fishing." Business manager for Mrs.

Mr. Haley told of the recent vandalism and the various meetings the group has been having. Program for the evening was based on Independence Day and its importance to the duties of citizens.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY MONTANA SUESCRIPTION CONTEST ENDS THIS SATURDAY Monday Night's Lightning Storms Start Four Fires Smoke chasers were dispatched early Tuesday morning to three reported fires in the Sula district and one on West Fork. They were started by the lightning storms Monday night. Lookouts reported that the three were at the head of Meadow Creek in the Anaconda Pintlar area. The West Fork fire is on Chicken Creek a mile and a half west of the Alta Ranger Station.

The storm started over the Magruder disrict and continued northeast over West Fork, Darby and Sula. Dispatcher Tom Smith said that more fires are expected and that two more in the Sula disrict are started now. More thunderstorms and lightning is expected Tuesday night. Verda Nickerson, 59, killed collision south of Hamilton, Idaho, Thursday at 2 p. m.

The former Stevensville woman at Justice Court Fines Driver Forrest Roberts, Stevensville, was fined $25 for careless driving and $10 for no valid driving license by Judge E. Macdonald in Justice Court Monday. Roberts was placed in the county jail in forfeiture of payment. County Farmers Union To Hold Junior Camp Stevensville- -The Ravalli County Farmers Union will hold a Junior and Reserve camp at Medicine Hot Springs this week. The two-day camp will open Thursday morning and close with a Friday evening picnic followed by a program of entertainment for all Farmers Union members, their familes and friends. Margaret Bucher, state director of education, will assist with the two-day camp. Funeral Held For Victor Pioneer Victor Funeral services for Robert A.

Cowan, 73, who died suddenly at his home in Victor following a period of failing health. were held at the Victor Federated Church Saturday. The Rev. Donald L. Young, pastor of the Stevensville Methodist Church, officiated and burial was in the Victor Cemetery.

The Whitesitt Mortuary of Stevensville was in of arrangements. The pallbearers were Adam Hornung, Ed Blake, John Blake, Everett Babbitt, Paul Thrailkill and Wood Goble. Dutch Hill 4-H Club Hold Annual Outing The Dutch Hill 4-H Club held their annual picnic last Sunday at the Sleeping Child picnic grounds. A swimming party was enjoyed after the lunch. Club leaders were presented gifts from members of the group.

Old age assistance was paid to 279 persons totaling $16.399. Aid to dependent children payments amounted to $2,796. Twelve blind persons were benefited by $837 paid out. Permanent and totally disabled aid was given to 37 persons from a total amount of $2- 450. Silicosis victims were given a total of $715.

June payments from the county fund were: medical care, $884; hospital and nursing home, burials, for nursing care. $135; $275; clothing and personal needs for children in foster homes, $38.20: paid to institutions for care, $62, and transient relief, $36. New Minister Arrives At Stevensville Church Stevensville The Rev. and Mrs. Donald L.

Young and daughter, Jean, arrived here last week. Rev. Young will serve as pastor of the Stevensville Methodist church. They came here from Superior where he has served as pastor of the Mineral County Parish for the past twa years. He is a native of Iowa where he was reared on a cattle farm near Esser.

He is a graduate of Simpson College, Indianola, Iowa, receiving his BA in 1951 and of Drew University, Madison, N. receiving his divinity degree in 1954. The Rev. Young was ordained Elder and given full connection at the Montana State Conference in Helena June 20-24, at which time he received his appointment to serve the Stevensville church. Personals Mr.
