GIRLS NOT SURE BUT THINK THEY BEAT THE ARMY, 11-8 We don't know whether the girls! were too busy trying to keep track of their army boy friends but for some reason or another the girls don't know the score of their softball game with the army, Tuesday night. From all the unreliable information we could gather the score WAS about 11 to 3 in favor of the girls. While the wet field proved a handicap to both sides we understand that the soldiers were somewhat hampered by a lieutenant, who acted as umpire. It just seemed that no matter what the boys did they couldn't get around the bases while all the girls had to do was to smile sweetly at the arbiter. Those who played were Margaret Sizer, Ethel Sizer, Betty Sizer, Florence Peterson, Trudy Ellingwood, Katie Sander, Mollie Miller, Alma Rose Downing and Ethel Cross.
