Marv Tucker of Hamilton Is Corvallis, April 10. Mr. and Mrs. J. A.

Mleneron left Monday for their home at Fort Williams, Ontario, after spending a few days with Rev. and Mrs. Daniel Corbett as they were enroute to Canada from a trip to California. A W. Gilson and Clifton Dale are medical patients at the Daly hospital in Hamilton.

Mr. and Mrs. T. A. McChesney and daughter Carol were here over the week-end from Great Falls, guests of Mr.

and Mrs. Thomas Micka. Frank Rummel and sons, Donald and Clyde, were Missoula visitors Saturday and while in the Garden City visited with Miss Ruth Rummel, a student nurse at St. Patrick hos pital. Mr.

and Mrs. Troy Sink of Mis soula visited Saturday with the lat- ter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Snell. Mrs.

Orion Cobb and infant son were brought home Friday from the Daly hospital, where the baby was born March 29. They are with Mr. Cobb's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Cobb.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith have moved to Missoula, where Mr. Smith has employment in the furniture department of the Missoula Mercantile store. Miss Marie Barr underwent an operation Thursday for appendicitis at the Daly hospital In Hamilton and will return to her home here to con-valensce this week.

Buck Sanders visited friends here while he was enroute to the Kelly recreation ranch for the summer from the Burnt Fork cabin, where he and Albert Cooley spent the winter. Mrs. Carrie Knute has returned to Butte aftor spending a few days visiting with her son. John McLeod, and attending to business matters In tho valley. Mrs.

Knute has rented her cottage near tho Willow creek bridge to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dye. A daughter was born March 31 to Mr. and Mrs.

Frances Redman at Barberton, Ohio, accordlnu to announcement mado to the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Holger Toftoy of Corvallis. Mr. and Mrs.

Chester Powell have been here from ISoxeman for several days visiting relatives while Mr. Powell was convalescing from major surgery. They were with their parent. Mr. and Mrs.

Mrs. McVey is survived by her husband, who is a brother of Henry McVey, ana Dy two sons, Howard of Pocatello, Idaho, and Chester, at whose home in California she passed away. She is also sur vived by two brothers, oeorge anu Dick Smothers, and a sister, Mrs. Deerdorf, all residing in the Flathead valley.

Mrs. Deerdorf and Hnward McVey were with Mr. and Mrs. Worth McVey and Chester Mc Vey when the end came. Mr fiiiorue Ulair and daughter, Mrs.

E. L. Pophatn as Charter Member Marks Hirthday for State Federation Honor Pastor. Corvallis, April 10. The golden jubilee celebration of the founding of the National Federation of Women's Clubs was held by the Corvallis club last Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs.

George Blakeslee. A pageant emphasizing the importance of club affiliation with the general federation was presented by 17 young matrons, most of them from Hamilton. They were Mesdames Glen Kohls, Walter Pierce, E. R. Hammond, Del Brisbin, Lloyd Goodman, Wilford Popple, M.

S. Wessell, Fritz Zoske, Hugh Elmore, Nick Kramis, Miles Romney, Henry Barrett, Fred Roberts, Blakeslee, George Norwood, Buford Kaa and William Flsk. Mary Buck contributed vocal selections at the close of the candle-light ceremony. Birthday cake was served by Mrs. E.

L. Popham, an early member of the club. Mrs. Otto Quast and Mrs. W.

E. Pollinger presided at the tea table. The April meeting of the Methodist Missionary Society was held last Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Frank Rummel west of Wood-side. Twenty women made the trip from here to the Rummel ranch, where they enjoyed a program which consisted of a study of Mexican missions and "Who Makes Up Your Mind for You?" Mrs.

Elmer Poll and Mrs. T. U. Reagan were in charge of the program. Instrumental trios were given by Mrs.

Jacob Marti nnd Clyde and Donald Rummel. The Remember When Club was entertained Thursday afternoon by Mrs. Lesllo Snell, having first a luncheon at tho Brooks hotel and a social afternoon at tho Snell homo. Twelve members were present. Mr.

J. II. Collier hnd the Friendship Club at her homo Friday afternoon to celebrate tho birthdays of Mr. II. M.

E. Coultas was re-elected Darby school trustee at the election Saturday, receiving 40 of the 65 votes cast. Joe Abbey and Carl Hoblltt were other contestants for the trusteeship. Mr. and Mrs.

Paul Carriger arrived from Vancouver, last week to remain here for the summer while Mr. Carriger, as engineer for the bureau of public roads, superintends the highway improvement projects in tho Medicine springs- Gibbons pass district. Postmaster H. S. Nicholson has in stalled new lock boxes in tho post-olilce and has rearranged the fixtures for better light and more convenient service.
