9- I I Page 3 Ravalli Republic, Hamilton, Mont.Mon., Dec. 27, 1932 James Priest1 Su George, Idaho James Glenn Priest, 71, of St. George died Nov. 10, 1982, enroute to the Salt Lake City Veterans Hospital. He was born Feb.

6, 1911, in Pocatello, Idaho to William Oscar and Emma (Peggy) Jane Polsen Priest. He married Helen Lucille Dragoo in 1941 at Cutbank. The Priests owned and managed the old Roco Club In Hamilton during the 1950's where he acquired many friends. After leaving Hamilton they lived for several years In Great Falls. Priest grew up and was educated in Pocatello.

He developed an Interest and started singing, dancing, and playing Instruments at a very early age. He played with his first professional orchestra at age 16. He served In the U.S. Army during World War II where he played In the Army Ground Forces Band. He played all over the country In various big name bands and orchestras during the big band era.

In his later years, he played with his wife, Peggy, In dinner clubs and fine restaurants.They moved to St. George In 1976 where he also entertained. He was a member of theLDS Church and was an active member of the Elks Lodge where he had many friends. Survivors Include: his wife; and three sisters, Mrs. Ladd (June) Stanley of Tempo, Ariz Mrs.

Pete (Jose) Hopkins of Pocatello, Idaho; and Mrs. Rozella Hess of Auburn, Wash. Services were held Monday at the St. George LDS 13th Ward Chapel. Burial was in the St.

George City Cemetery under the direction of the Metcalf Mortuary. Florence Zimmerman- schools In California. She lived most of her adult life In Riverside, Calif, where she worked In banking. She visited her family In Stevensvllle many tfmes through the year. Her husband, E.H.

Zimmerman, a sister, Bernice Jeter, a brother Alfred Thomas and her parents preceded her In death. Survivors Include her brother Robert J. Thomas and a sister, Mildfed Wilcox, both of Stevensvllle, and two sisters, Estelle Whitehead and Lucille Abell, In San Ramon, Calif. Cremation has taken place. (Cirosswm! IPoiskIIc Florence Zimmerman, 75, died at North Valley Nursing Home In Stevensvllle Thursday following a lengthy Illness.

She was born In Potosl, Wise, May 30, 1907, to Fred A. and Cora Thomas. She came west to Montana with her family In 1912. She attended schools In Radersburg, Mont, and graduated from high school In Pocatello, Idaho. She also attended many banking Louise I.

Winkler- Louise Irene Winkler, 86, died Friday afternoon at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital In Hamilton. She was born Jan. 11, 1896 In Newton, Iowa, to the late Mr. Mrs. Thomas Stonehacker.

She received her education there and graduated from the Northwestern University School of Music on June 18, 1924. She sang on stage for a few years, and married L. Ralph Winkler In Milwaukee, Wise. In May, 1924. The couple moved to the Bitter Root Valley In 1956.

She taught piano for a number of years here and was a member of the Wesleyan Church and a member of ne Four O'clock Garden Club. She was preceded In death by her husband Ralph on July 18, 1971, a son In 1952, a grandson in 1950 and two brothers and one sister. She Is survived by her son, Guy W. Winkler of Corvallis; three sisters, Joan FJelland, Laura Mar-chack and Edith Beck, all of DeMolnes, Iowa; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 10 aun.

It will be held at the Wesleyan Church in Hamilton with Lester Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Rlvervlew Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dowling Chapel Monday evening from 7-9 pun. The family suggest memorials be given to the Hamilton Wesleyan Church. Irwin will be responsible for sales In an area including Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, Kansas, and Colorado.
