In the past four years the Bitterroot Bucs, the valley's Class A American Legion baseball team, have won three Montana State Class A Championships while producing two most valuable players In the state tournament, have had three state hitting champions, seen 12 players advance to college baseball and represented the state in the Northwest regional tournament four times. Second-year head coach Steve Frickey is getting ready for an ambitious 1992 season. Last year the Bucs played .40 regular-season baseball games.

This year, they will play 51 in the regular season, so some records are sure to be broken. Its by far the most games the team has ever played but since we are going to be inexperienced, I wanted the young players to get a lot of experience, said Frickey. He said he expects seven to 12 players to return from last years team. Reynolds of Hamilton entered a guilty plea to DUL He was fined $300 with $100 suspended. His three-day jail sentence was suspended pending completion of ACT. A charge of driving left of center was dismissed. Todd Sowatzke of Stevensville entered a not guilty plea to an assault charge. A bench trial is pending.

Marilyn Sisler of Stevensville entered a not guilty plea to a nuisance dog charge. Terry McClancy of Missoula issued a bench warrant on failure to appear to answer to charges of reckless driving and disorderly conduct. Darby Police Department files Feb. 1 Chris Wright, 28, was attacked and beaten about 2:30 a.m. in the Sawmill Saloon.
